Ora-gammy (Emphasis on the "am")
What Heavy Rain fails to mention is that origami is frustrating enough to drive one to kill. More on this later.
I'm deviating from this month's theme because a) it's not great, and b) I made some stuff for a project at work and wanted to share. Hence: the West End Mammal Department's animals in origami.
First up, our Asian representative, a Bactrian camel. Okay so technically this figure only has one hump and therefore is NOT a Bactrian camel but hey.

Next, a zebra! (Grant's or Grevy's, your choice.) This was actually a horse diagram - thank goodness for zebra-print paper.

Again making use of printed paper, a sure crowd-pleaser, the giraffe. This model isn't very much taller than the zebra one, so we'll just call him a calf.

Now we get to the tough stuff (this is where the "origami can cause you to want to murder someone" comes into play). This ostrich took me, no joke, three hours to do. Technically I made three ostriches, and each took about an hour, but I missed a critical step the first two tries and they did not come out looking anything like ostriches. Apparently paper ostriches are as temperamental as real ones (seriously, ours is a brat).

This last one is my favorite: the enigmatic aardvark! My lead keeper said it would be cuter if it had a tongue, so I added a tongue. D'aw =)
